Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration is held the 1st Friday of each month from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM with closing Benediction at 9:30 AM.
Matthew 26:40 “Could you not watch one hour with me?”
Many people having been asking, “What is Eucharistic adoration?” Eucharistic Adoration is an expression of our love for Jesus, who loves us so much that He never wants to leave us and so stays with us day and night in the Blessed Sacrament. Pope John Paul II in his first encyclical letter, Redemptor Hominis, says that Eucharistic adoration is the most fundamental duty in the life of the Christian and that liturgical celebration of the Eucharist and private worship of the Eucharist complement each other. He states: “Our communal worship at Mass must go together with our personal worship of Jesus in Eucharist adoration in order that our love may be complete.”
The time of adoration that you give to Jesus can be spent with Him in any number of ways:
- With your favorite prayer book
- Reading the Bible
- Praying the Rosary
- Speaking to Jesus heart to Heart, as one does with a friend
Or you may be so tired or troubled or worn out, that you may just want to sit, and relax, and enjoy the sweet peace that comes from simply being with the One who loves you the most, Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

We encourage you to take some time the first Monday of each month through May to find out what “Eucharistic adoration” means to you. Please sign up for a specific time slot on the sheets in the Narthex or stop by to visit Our Lord whenever you can during these days. You will be so glad you did and so will Jesus!
“Because Christ himself is present in the sacrament of the altar, he is to be honored with the worship of adoration. “To visit the Blessed Sacrament is…proof of gratitude, an expression of love, and a duty of adoration toward Christ our Lord” (Paul vi)

Adoration Prayer
Matthew 11: 28-29
"Come to me all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will refresh you and give you peace of soul."
I have come, my Lord, to be with You, to recall the great mystery of faith: Your true presence in the consecrated bread of life. I come to adore You, Jesus, be acts of faith, hope, and love; to express sorrow for my sins; to make reparation for the sins of the whole world; to thank You for Your blessings and gifts, so many of which we take for granted; and to present to You my needs, my fears, and my desire for You to govern my life.
I pray to the Holy spirit of the light and truth to fill my heart and enkindle the fire of Your divine love. I also ask our Blessed Mother to be with me as I visit her Divine Son.
Lord, I may not be able to find all the words to express what I really in my heart. I may be distracted and perhaps feel a weariness. Regardless, I kneel in silence before You, know that You knoiw my innermost throught and desires.
I come to renew my personal love for You, and to attempt to rededicate my life to You. Please touch my heart and soul with Your peace.
