Divorce Care

Programs to help you rebuild after separation, divorce, or loss of a relationship.

Wings invites you to join us for support, friendship, relationship building, and faith sharing. Our roots and foundation are formed in the Catholic tradition, but we are open and welcoming to people of all faith traditions.

Wings Single Again Ministry
Time does not heal all wounds… it’s the work you do during that time that helps the healing process. We offer a Support

Group for those wanting to heal through sharing. Support facilitators are present to guide the group in discussion but they do not take the place of professional counseling. This is an opportunity to get connected with people going through similar experiences. Learn to share and let go of the emotional issues associated with divorce and separation.

Newly Hurting Support Group
For those experiencing the initial pain and confusion of divorce or the loss of a relationship, we provide a safe and confidential environment for up to ten people to support each other as they begin to work through the process of divorce and separation. We facilitate about two groups a year (fall and after Christmas). Each group meets for 8 sessions. To maintain confidentiality, this group is “closed” after the first night.  The book, Rebuilding - When a Relationship Ends by Bruce Fischer is the main component of the sessions.

Safe Social Events
We plan social events throughout the year for those interested in social contact with others in a safe, friendly environment. We promote group activity so that everyone can have fun and no one is left out.

Enrichment Programs
We will be offering several series of enrichment throughout the year to aid in the healing and growth process.

Continued Growth
Ongoing support and study groups gather either weekly or monthly to gain a closer relationship with God and in developing our individual spirituality.

Annulments

Click here to access a brochure on annulments from Our Sunday Visitor. Contact Deacon Maury Reed ( 731-3046) for more information on the annulment process.

Single Parents

This group will gather to share the joys and frustrations of single parenting.  In the past we've used the book The Twenty-Third Psalm for the Single Parent by Carmen Leal. For more information contact 739-0331 the Parish office.

Yes, single-parent families are different from two-parent families. And urban families are different from rural ones, and families with six kids and a dog are different from one-child, no-pet households. But even if there is only one adult presiding at the dinner table, yours is every bit as much a real family as are the Waltons.

                                                                                                                                        -Marge Kennedy

It’s important for all single parents to remember that not everything that goes wrong, from your son’s bad attitude toward school to the six holes in your teenage daughter’s ear, is because you live in a single-parent home. Every family has its problems.

                                                                                                                                         -Janet Spencer King
